Purpose of the Program

The purpose of the Sports Management Associate Degree Program is to meet the needs of different levels of facilities and positions related to sports management (such as marketing, finance, public relations, field equipment information, sports facility management). It aims to train qualified personnel who can serve public and private sector institutions, schools and universities related to sports, together with services that provide services for the evaluation of sports industry, sports sciences and free time.

Sports Management associate degree education is given for 2 years full-time.

Education Process

During the education process; Following general field knowledge such as Law, Marketing, Recreation, Computer, Business, courses that include sports-specific subjects such as Sports Law, Sports Marketing, Sports Economics, Sports Management, Risk Management in Sports, Sports Facility Management, Turkish Sports Organization and Management Structure, Sports and Media, Entrepreneurship in Sports are offered. In addition, elective courses in a wide range of fields are offered, providing students studying in the associate degree program in Sports Management the opportunity to improve themselves in the fields they are interested in.

Employment Profiles of Graduates

With the developments and innovations in the sports sector, the increase in the number of sports facilities and investments made in the field of sports in recent years contribute to economic development both nationally and locally. In recent years, the number of sports businesses and facilities belonging to public institutions, universities and private enterprises in our region and province has been increasing. For this reason, the need for trained human resources in the field of Sports Management will continue to increase.

Employment Areas

Graduates who successfully complete the Sports Management program have the opportunity to work in the private sector and the public sector. Graduates of this program can be employed as managers in the administrative structure of amateur and professional sports clubs, in youth and sports directorates, in the culture and sports departments of municipalities, in sports halls, in the organization and implementation of activities in our social life, as managers in the relevant cadres of local governments, in touristic hotels and businesses in our country, to evaluate free time, organize sports organizations and carry out animation services. In addition, graduates of this program can work in marketing, public relations, human resources, finance, management, sponsorship and event management departments. In addition to these, graduates with entrepreneurial spirit and potential in line with the information they receive can establish their own businesses in all areas related to sports management and fill the gap in the field.
